The evening opened with the dormitory singing competition. The judges, Mr. G. W. Chadwick, of the New England Conservatory of Music, Professor R. C. Cabot '89, and Mr. Edward Ballantine '07 gave the award to the Smith chorus, led by Morton Smith '27, and President Lowell presented the silver cup to the winner.
