Geoffrey Platt of New York City was unanimously elected captain of the Freshman crew yesterday afternoon, just before the race with the Tech Freshmen was called off. Platt was a regular tackle on the 1927 Football team. He prepared for Harvard at St. Mark's School where he played on the football team and rowed on the crew.
