In a special letter to the CRIMSON yesterday, Bertrand Russell announced that the subject for his lecture in the Union on Friday night of this week, will be "Freedom versus Authority in Education". The choice of the subject was left to Mr. Russell's discretion by the authorities of the Union.
In this lecture, the English essayist and scientist will undoubtedly renew his attack on American colleges and universities, which he originally made in a CRIMSON interview some weeks ago, and which called forth a drastic reply from President Lowell.
