Displaying marked improvement in coordinating its attack, the University lacrosse team downed the Union twelve from Schenectady, N. Y., yesterday afternoon on Soldier's Field by the score of 6 to 1.
In a driving rain, the University started off with a rush and at the end of the first half, the score was 5 to 0. During the second period, Coach Herbert made numerous substitutions, and while the perfect team work which characterized play during the first half was lacking, the Harvard mentor declared himself pleased with the showing of the men.
Captain Thomas was the individual star of the game, scoring two goals and playing what many declare was the best game of his career.
