Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
An enthusiastic gathering of about 50 students, representing practically every country in South and Central America, and including representatives from Cuba and the Philippines, responded to the call for the reorganization of the Circulo Espanol in the Faculty Room of the Union last night, where for two hours a series of animated speeches and discussions was held.
Professor Guillermo Rivera '09, opened the meeting with a short speech on the history of the Club, since it was founded in 1900. In stating the purpose of the organization, he said the main purpose was to foster an appreciation of Spanish language and literature among students in the University, and to encourage cordial relations between North and Latin America.
As a result of the elections, Harry Stanley Smith '25, of Somerville, was elected President; Pedro Areny 1G from Havana, Cuba, Vice-president, and Daniel Hermillo Salayar 2E.S. from Chihuahua, Mexico, Secretary-treasurer, Eugenio Lopez 1L.,and Marcial Lichanco 1L., both from the Phillipine Islands were chosen to be the Executive Committee.
