The University fencing team composed of Captain E. H. Lane '24, E. L. Lane '24, Roland Fleer '24, and F. W. Saunders '24 will defend the team title they won last year in the Intercollegiates in the Hotel Astor, New York, today and tomorrow.

The 5-4 victory over Yale last Saturday has given the team a most hopeful outlook for the coming contest. Davenport of Yale, who won the individual championship last year, is no longer in intercollegiate competition. This leaves Captain Lane and his brother, who have scored 27 and 25 victories respectively, the most likely contenders for the individual crown.
