1927 Song Competition Opens

Announcement of a Freshman class song competition, open to all members of the Freshman Class, was made last night by Dr. R. W. Wright '17, leader of the Freshman Musical Clubs.

According to Dr. Wright, the song should be light and tuneful, and not more than two-verses. If possible, it should be, in the nature of a football song. Former class songs, especially the one which appeared in the 1925 Red Book, are suggested as models. Men desiring to do so may collaborate on the words and music. All compositions must be handed in to Dr. Wright at C-21 James Smith Hall, or to K. D. Weed '27 at B-33 Gore Hall, by April 25, when the competition closes.

The song will be sung by the Freshman Hall Chorus in the Jubliee competition, and by the Freshmen Musical Clubs in their concerts.
