GOLF TEAM DOWNS B. U. IN SEASON'S OPENING CONTEST

The University golf team opened its season yesterday by humbling the Boston University golfers, 5 to 1, at the Weston Country Club. C. L. Peirson '25, playing against Hannon, was only University player to meet defeat. The other matches, except for one four some, went to the Crimson golfers by lop-sided scores.

Captain R. M. Clough '24 was the star of the University team, turning in a score of 36 for the last nine holes, which was largely responsible for his win in the foursome. J. J. Mapes '25 aso played a consistently good game, turning in a score of 38 for his first nine holes. The fourth member of the Harvard team was W. G. Soule '25.
