The spring trip of the Pierian Sodality Orchestra will consist this year of two concerts in New York, according to an announcement made last night. They are scheduled for Friday evening, May 16, and Saturday afternoon, May 17; both concerts will be held in Aeolian Hall.
Full arrangements for the trip have not yet been completed. The conductor of the orchestra, the soloist for each of the concerts and the Program are yet to be chosen, and they will be announced in the near future. Friends and graduates of the Pierian Sodality are planning an entertainment for the entire orchestra on Saturday night after the last concert.
The managerial staff of the orchestra announced that, in all probability, the entire orchestra of about 60 men will make the trip. However, there is still an opportunity for any one who plays an orchestral instrument to play in New York and there will be a rehearsal on Friday night for all those who have not yet reported.
