Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
After a week of strenuous work on the Schuylkill river in Philadelphia, in which daily workouts averaged fifteen miles, and in which a remarkable improvement over previous form was noticeable, the first two crews, their lineups unchanged, return to Cambridge this morning to prepare for the first race on May 10. Coach Stevens believes that the Schuylkill workout during the vacation has produced an improvement which would have been utterly impossible had the crews remained in Cambridge to row on the Charles.
It was not until 11.30 o'clock last Monday morning that the two shells touched water, when the eights left the Philadelphia Barge Club for an eight mile pull under ideal weather conditions. By 3.30 the crews were again on the water.
Personal Attention Given
On Tuesday, Coach Stevens began individual instruction in earnest. Not satisfied with the exhibition of Crew B the day before, he first took the seat of A. L. Hobson '24 at number seven and later replaced Elisha Canning '26 at stroke. In the afternoon, during the second eight-mile pull for the day, he spent some time in Captain Henry's place in the first shell. It was during this workout that the first spurt of the year save the first shell a half length lead over a short distance.
The daily rowing did not consume the larger amount of the men's time, however. "Best of all," said Coach Stevens in a statement to the press, "was the way we were entertained here by the University of Pennsylvania authorities, former Harvard grads, and rowing men in general." In addition to Mr. W. B. Henry, father of B. McK. Henry '24, several others entertained the men for luncheons, dinner-dances, etc., these were Mr. Wim. Logan Fox '14, Mr. Daniel Newhall '06, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. D. Paul, Mr. Clement Wood '98, and Mrs. W. B. Henry.
