Workshop Play Opens in New York

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

"Nancy-Ann", the play that won the Belmont prize offered by the 47 Workshop this year, had its first performance on Monday night at the Forty-Ninth Street Theatre in New York. This play was announced to have won the prize last September but rehearsals and the difficulty of securing a theatre have held up its opening.

Miss Dorothy Kuhns Heyward, the author of the play, studied under Professor G. P. Baker in English 47A, in 1919-20.
