DRAMATIC CLUB STARTS SPRING RUN NEXT WEEK

Competitions for 5 Departments to-Get Under Way--Profs. Baker and Pope to speak--2 Plays Under Consideration

Spring competitions for the acting, business, publicity, electrical and stage departments of the Dramatic Club will get under way with a meeting to be held in the Faculty Room of the Union the latter part of next week, the exact date for which will be announced in Tuesday's CRIMSON. The competition in acting is open to any member of the University; all the others are restricted to Sophomores and Freshmen.

Professor G. P. Baker '37, director of the 47. Workshop and professor of Dramatic Literature, and Professor Arthur Pope '01 or the Fine Arts Department will speak at the meeting, which will be presided over by Richard Aldrich '25, president of the Dramatic Club.

Announcement of the club's choice for its next play will be made shortly. Two plays are new under consideration, neither of which has yet been produced in this country.
