COMBS BREAKS SHOULDER; OUT OF ATHLETICS FOR THE YEAR

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

When J. L. Combs '26 broke his shoulder playing lacrosse last week, the prospects for the spring football squad and for the University track team were considerably dampened. Dr. T. K. Richards declared yesterday that Combs will be out of all athletic competition for the rest of the year.

Combs has won his letter in football and in basketball this year and won the 120-yard high hurdles for last year's Freshman track team against Yale. Although he will be unable to hurdle this spring, Dr. Richards believes that Combs' injury will in no way affect him in football next fall.
