New Haven, Conn., March 21.-- Harvard won, by a unanimous decision of the judges here tonight, in its support of the affirmative in the triangular debate. Harvard advocated a flexible system of limitation which would bring into colleges men likely to be respected men in their community in later life. Yale called for emphasis on training of the intellect to accomplish the same purpose.
Princeton, N. J., March 21.--Yale, supporting the affirmative, defeated Princeton by a 3 to 0 vote of the judges in the triangular debate here tonight. Yale based its argument on the need of personal interviews and mental tests in selecting candidates for admission, while Princeton declared that other than scholastic tests are impractical and that tradition backs the old examinations.
