The Dramatic Club opened its spring season last night in a meeting at the Union, with about 100 people, mostly candidates, present.

Professor G. P. Baker '87 opened the meeting with a talk setting forth the history, peculiarities, and past glories of the Dramatic Club. Professor Baker commented on the surprisingly large number of Dramatic Club alumni who now have prominent connections with the professional stage.

Professor Arthur Pope '01, Mr. J. W. D. Seymour '17, R. S. Aldrich '25, the president of the club, and R. S. Burrell '24, retiring president, were the other men who spoke at the meeting.

Candidates for all departments may report at 1 o'clock today at the clubhouse at 69 Mount Auburn Street, without suffering any handicap. Acting candidates may sign blue book in Leavitt and Peirce's after 1 o'clock.
