Memorial Hall clock, whose hands have upset monitors' reports and caused confusion in arrival at classes by registering 18 minutes to three for the last two days, will start running again as soon as the necessary repairs are completed.
This information was gleaned from W. S. Burke, Inspector of Grounds and Buildings, when asked about the matter last night. The Harvard Clock Company of Boston, makers of the clock, are sending men out today to ascertain the extent of the damages and begin repair work at once.
As in the case of several other clocks about Harvard Square, the Memorial time-piece was stopped by the storm of the last few days. The trouble, according to Mr. Burke, was probably caused by the heavy mass of snow which piled upon the hands, causing damage to the gearing and other parts of the internal works.
