E. L. Farrell, University track coach, has been selected as one of the assistant coaches of the United States Olympic team. The running broad jump, hop step and jump, and the pole vault are listed as the events which will be under his particular jurisdiction.

Coach Farrell is a former wearer of the shield in Olympic competition.
