LABRADOR WORKERS SEEK NEW RECRUITS

A campaign to enroll men for summer work with the Grenfell Mission in Labrador will begin on Monday, February 11 and will last through the week, it was announced last night. Two sophomomores have been delegated to conduct the drive.

The work consists in outdoor manual labor, such as carpentry and handling supplies, with some boat work. In cases of emergency there may be hospital duty, but since 1922 there has been no occasion for this. In former years the work has appealed especially to crew and football men who want the opportunity to keep in physical condition while doing useful work. All who sign up pay their own expenses.

Last year five Harvard undergraduates were stationed at three ports on the coast of Labrador. Two of these, Dudley Merrill '26, who has spent two years with Dr. Grenfell's missions, and G. D. Krumbhaar '26, who worked with him last summer at the Indian Harbor station, have been appointed by Dr. Grenfell to conduct the drive at the University for 1924 workers.

These men will hold office hours every day next week from 8 to 10 o'clock in the evening in Randolph 5. The men who apply and are chosen will sail for the North as soon as possible after the close of College in the spring, and will return in ample time to register in September.
