BACKFIELD OUTLOOK BRIGHT AS GEHRKE RESUMES STUDIES

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

After a year's leave of absence from the University, E. L. Gehrke Occ., baseball and football player on University teams in 1922 and 1923, will return to College on Monday.

This spring he will be unable to play baseball, though his pitching strength is needed. Next fall, however, he will be eligible to return to his backfield position on the gridiron and, in the spring of 1925, to his old diamond position in the pitcher's box. Gehrke entered College with the class of 1924, but, due to his leave of absence, will graduate with the present Junior class.
