The Committee on Extension Courses of Greater Boston has elected a new chairman in Dr. Arthur F. Whittem '02, associate professor of Romance Languages and director of University Extension at Harvard, who succeeds Professor James H. Ropes '89. The latter has asked to be relieved from further service after acting as chairman of the Commission since its founding in 1910.
