The speaking was devoid of much brilliance. Nathaniel Thayer 2L. and C. C. Cabot 2L. gained a 6 1-2 to 5 1-2 decision, the closest possible except a draw, over D. H. Starks 2C. and J. H. Merrick 2L. Professor J. H. Beale was Chief Justice.
