MAPLES TO PROBE WEAK POINTS FOR YALE GAME

The Crimson skaters will be seeing blue jerseys on the backs of the Maples at the Arena tonight. With the initial Eli contest only four days away, this evening's fracas with the local club team is regarded as a keying-up process for the big session with Yale on Saturday. Although warming up in action will be the main objective tonight, this does not mean that Coach Winsor is enthusiastic about coming out with the chilly end of the score.

Altogether it should be a lively evening for the followers of the ice sport, for in addition to Harvard's clash with the Maples, the Boston Hockey Club will try its skill with the St. Paul team. Just at present the Hockey Club is deadlocked with the B. A. A. for the top-notch position in the Eastern Division of the U. S. A. H. A. St. Paul is leading the Western Division, so that steel should flash in much fast work tonight. Manager George V. Brown has scheduled the double-header for 8.15 o'clock, but Harvard will have to forego its customary first chance at the ice and be content with the second half of the draw, as the St. Paul and Hockey Club players will be the first to answer the whistle.
