Two departures from previous customs were announced yesterday by the 1924 Class Day Committee. These consist of changes in the music for the Class Hymn and of more unified organization of the Committee itself.
Last year some confusion was caused by too much division of labor, assigning each man in the committee unlimited control of some phase of the Commencement activities such as the ceremonies in the Yard, Stadium, and Memorial Hall. This year the Senior Spreads will be managed by F. K. Kernan and the funds of the committee by J. J. Lee. Beyond that K. S. Pfaffman '24, chairman of the Committee, will have absolute chare, with the assistance of the other committeemen.
On the advice of Dr. A. T. Davison '06 the three hymns for which the words to the Class Hymn will be written have been changed to "Duke Street", "Federal Street" and "Hamburg', the last of which is considered the most important.
