FRESHMAN BASKETBALL FIVE BOWS TO DARTMOUTH QUINTET

Coach Chase's Team Gets Short End of 31-14 Hanover Encounter

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Freshman quintet returned empty-handed from Hanover last night, for the powerful Dartmouth first-year five emulated the big Green hockey team and trounced their Crimson foemen by a 31 to 14 score Saturday.

Despite the home team's versatile attack and their unfamiliar big court, Coach Chase's players had little the worse of the argument in the first half, the period ending with the score 9 to 5.

Five times Captain Picken, Dartmouth's aggressive little running guard, took the ball from the tap-off and, dribbling the length of the floor, shot clean goals. These ten points were an insurmountable obstacle for the Crimson.

Malick found his eye and caged three pretty long shots for the Freshmen.
