The Boston Symphony Quartet will play several of Beethoven's compositions in Paine Hall this morning at 10 o'clock. The general public as well as the students enrolled in Music 4 will be welcome, it was announced last night by Professor W. R. Spalding '87 of the Music Department.
The quartet is composed of Carlos Pinfield, first violin; Lloyd Stone-street, second violin; Harry Grover, viola; and Leon Marjollet, violoncello. Their program will include Beethoven's famous "Quartet in C Minor," the great composer's best known quartet number.
Today's concert is a feature of the Music 4 program, which aims at an analytical study of symphonic masterpieces from the point of view of the listener.
