SENIORS CYNOSURE OF ALL EYES THIS WEEK

"Every student who has been here four years owes the College $1000," said Mr. Malcolm Donald '99 in addressing the Senior Class Fund Committee yesterday at the meeting that inaugurated the Senior Class drive for $150,000 worth of endowment insurance.

The drive began immediately after the meeting last night. At this meeting C. J. Hubbard '24 presided and in his introductory speech emphasized the fact that all classes past and present will be watching the Class of 1924 this week to see if the present, drive will be a success, since this is the first time any class has ever tried to raise its class gift fund while still in College. Corliss Lamont '24 then gave instructions to the Committee.

Mr. Donald in his address told the meeting that before the Class of 1924 came back for its 25th reunion the tradition would probably demand much more than $150,000 which is now the standard sum.

"Undergraduates pay $250 a year for tuition that costs the College $500," he said. "We owe $1000. One man could give $100,000, but the gift would not represent the Class. For this is the repayment of the class to the college of some of its debt."
