When Captain K. S. Pfaffmann '24 opened the 1924 tennis season at a meeting in Holworthy 2 last night, 25 University and Freshman candidates were present. Together with Coach Harry Cowles, he explained the plans for the spring season.

As usual a University team will make a southern trip during the spring holidays, and this trip will be the objective of the practice which will start immediately at the Longwood covered courts. The team will be chosen from the squad of ten who were selected on the basis of their showing last fall to practice at Longwood. For the final University team, however, all the candidates will have an equal chance.
