Although the Chief Justice, Professor Zechariah Chafee L '13, expressed afterwards the opinion that the defendant had the right view of the law, the point score judgement in the Ames Competition trial last night was 8 to 4 in favor of the Scott Club. Melbourne Bergeeman 21 and William Greener 21, were counted for the plantiff while N.S. Dillon 21, and T.H. Adams 21, represented the Ames Gray Club in a mock suit for $1000.
