Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
Crew Coach Edward A. Stevens has returned to Cambridge from Portland, Ore., where he had been detained with a severe case of tonsilitis, and has now resumed charge of the University squad.
Mr. Stevens has announced that the running exercise for the crew men would continue three times a week during the mid-year period, but that the distance would be shorter in order not to overtax the runners. After examinations, work will begin on the machines and in the tank in the Newell Boat House, and the running periods will be kept up as usual although the exercise will not be as strenuous.
Object is to Condition Men
"One object in keeping up the running is to condition the men," explained the coach. "We shall not go far, but far enough to have a good work-out. Some men will be kept at the machines longer than others, according to how much instruction they need. We do not, however, intend to make crew work a drudgery."
The tank in the Newell Boat House is being fitted out with an engine to keep the water in circulation and will be completed this week. The large barge in the Weld Boat House, which has been under construction this winter, is now ready and will be launched as soon as the ice leaves the river.
