Several members of the University polo squad expect to play at Pinehurst during the Christmas Recess, it was announced last night by Captain S. F. Clark, coach of the team.
Alexander Shaw '28 and J. W. Tufts '27 have already made plans for the trip, and two or three other men expect to go also. While at Pinehurst they will practice with the Sandhill Polo Club in preparation for a series of matches which will begin immediately after the close of vacation, with several local teams.
These matches will take place probably once a week with team like the Essex, Myopia and Dedham Clubs, the 101st Cavalry and the University Military Instructors' team. There will be only two matches with other universities before the Intercollegiate, which are usually heal early in March. The University plays West Point on January 17 and Yale at some date not definitely announced.
