A prize of $100 is being offered by the American Hebrew, a New York religious magazine, for the best essay written by an American undergraduate on the subject: "How to Meet the Rising Tide of Prejudice." The prize, which is to be known as the Lazarus prize in honor of its donor, Mr. Arthur Lazarus of New York, has been offered in conjunction with the purpose of the magazine, which is to promote better understanding between Christians and Jews in America. Essays are not to exceed 3000 words in length, and must be handed in to the magazine's New York office by January 10.

The judges of the essays are to be George Gordon Battle, jurist and publicist; Dr. A. S. W. Reisenbach, president of the Mareican Jewish Historical Society, and Dr. Elias Lieberman.
