FIRST FRESHMAN SMOKER OF YEAR COMES TONIGHT

FESTIVITIES OVER IN TIME FOR FOSDICK MEETING AT P. B. H.

The first Freshman Smoker of the year will be held tonight at 7 o'clock in the Living Room of the Union. B. F. R. Bassett '25, chairman of the Committee on Freshman Affairs will preside.

An elaborate program for entertaining the first year men has been arranged. Bert Lowe's first string orchestra has been engaged to play during the evening. B. S. Cogan '23 and R. P. Bullard '24 will amuse the class with several light songs, including Cogan's new football song. A. H. Stafford '26, quarterback on the University football team this fall, will perform some sleight-of-hand and juggling tricks.

The speakers will be Dean C. N. Greenough '98, E. Whitney '17, assistant dean in charge of Freshmen, and T. J. Campbell, coach of the 1928 football team.

Refreshments will be served and cigarettes will also be distributed for the men. The smoker will be over in time for the Freshmen to hear Dr. Harry Emerson Fosdick speak at 8:30 at Phillips Brooks House.
