The Springfield College harriers invade Crimson territory this afternoon, bringing with them a power which Coach Farrell by no means underestimates.
Thus far this season, Springfield has given little material for comparison with University runners. The Y. M. C. A. college is, however, usually strong in the long-distance event and recently defeated Bates. With its regular contingent in, the meet, the University would probably have little to fear as to the result, but three men, Captain Chapin, Cutcheon, and Harrison, will not run.
The absence of these men weakens the University team considerably, and Coach Farrell looks for a close score. The University meet commences at 4.15 o'clock, while the Freshmen will get under way about 4 o'clock.
