GUN CLUB SHOOTS AT YALE TRAPS SATURDAY MORNING

Seven Crimson Marksmen Will Break Birds With Eli Riflemen

After practicing since the first of October the University Gun Club will meet Yale on Saturday in its first meet of the season. The shoot will be held at the Yale Gun Club's traps the morning of the football game. In previous shoots Yale has been victorious, but last year the University team came within three birds of winning the meet, and expects to give the Blue some stiff competition this year.

Seven men will represent the University in the shoot, competing against a like number from Yale. The best five individual scores on each team will be the only ones counted. C. C. Mason '25, J. L. Riker '25, L. J. Knowles '27, and Kent Leavitt '26 are practically certain to shoot, and the other members of the team will be chosen from the club membership.

The University Club will compete in the intercollegiate Meet in the early part of next year, and in several other meets with other colleges. The club practices at the B. A. A. traps in Boston, and all students may try out for the team.

The men who participate in the shoots as representatives of the Gun Club do not receive their letters, as the sport is not recognized by the Athletic Association. The club awards medals to those who shoot against Yale, and gives suitable rewards to the man who has the highest record for the entire season.
