The call for candidates for the 1928 squash team produced a record turnout of 30 yesterday in the Freshman Athletic Building. After short talks by Coach Cowles and Captain Dixon of the University squash team, the men signed up for the elimination tournament which will start today.

The drawing will be posted in the Athletic Building and the games will start immediately in order to have the tournament over in time to choose the squad before the first match which is scheduled for the first week in, December. The winners of the tournament and the men who show up well in the playing will compose the 1928 squad, from which the team will be picked.

The Freshman team has been entered in League C of the Massachusetts Squash Racquets Association this' year. The 1927 team was in class B last year, but finished so far down in the ranking that the management decided to enter the Freshmen in the Class C League this year, in order to make sure that they would not be handicapped by playing teams of superior experience.
