1928 ELEVEN UP AGAINST STIFF PROBLEM TOMORROW

More than a mere victory will be the goal of the Freshman football team when it meets the Yale 1928 eleven tomorrow at Soldiers' Field. The Elis' crushing defeat of Captain Daley's combination last fall has not been forgotten.

Coach Campbell's men will be up, against a powerful team. The Blue Freshmen have issued victorious from every battle except the first one of the season with Exeter. To the 21 points scored by their opponents they have tallied 92.

The Exeter game, which resulted in a 9--7 win for the schoolboys, was nearly a shutout, but the Freshmen were saved from this in the final moment of play when Ordway dashed through for a touchdown. On the following Saturday the Yale team redeemed itself by piling up a 16--7 score against Andover. Again it was Ordway who starred. He accounted for both touchdowns. The two extra points were made on a safety.

The contest with the Morris High School of New York City was a one-sided affair, ending 54--0 with Yale on the long end. The Princeton Freshmen invaded New Haven two weeks ago with a threatening array of players, but the Elis proved too strong for them, and they were vanquished 13--7. Captain Webster of Yale, playing at tackle, gave a superb performance, while Ordway continued his dazzling backfield tactics.

Last Saturday the Freshman scrubs engaged in two encounters tying the United Workers' Boys' Club of New Haven 10--10, and defeating Hotchkiss 19--7.

In the meantime, the Crimson Freshmen have lost their first two battles to Andover and Exeter, and won their last two over Worcester Academy and Roxbury. Increasing ability has been shown in these games to a marked degree. With the return of several first string men who have been on the doctor's list for a large part of the season, the Harvard team should put up a good bid for victory tomorrow.
