The first player in the Union tournament to reach the final round is G. H. Perkins '26, who defeated A. R. Allen '26 in the semi-final round yesterday, 6-3, 6-2, 6-3. Perkins' steady playing, featured by lightning like line smashes, finally conquered Allen in spite of his many scintillating rallies and accurate placements.
Perkins will meet the winner of today's match between Parke Cummings '25 and G. D. Debevoise '26 in the finals of the tournament. The last game of the tournament will be played either Sunday or Monday. The winner of the final match will receive the silver cup offered by the Union.
There have been no radical upsets during the progress of the tournament. The seeded players were the only one surviving in the final and semi-final rounds.
