Freshmen Lose to Springfield

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Freshman soccer team, playing pluckily, bowed to a superior Springfield team yesterday afternoon, taking the short end of a 2-1 score.

All three goals were made in the second half. Keefe of the Freshmen put over the first goal near the end of the half, but with this accomplishment the 1928 team weakened and the Springfield players forced the ball over the goal two times before the close of the game in a spurt of excellent playing. Mahan and Scott made the two Springfield goals.

Henry at guard and Parrott at right fullback played the best game on the Freshman team.
