At a meeting of the Liberal Club last night; it was decided after a violent discussion, that the Liberal Club would oppose the candidacy of President Coolidge to succeed himself.

It was said by members that the strength of Coolidge was greatly exaggerated, due to the fact that some of Davis' supporters voted against the motion, in order that they might not be associated with the progressives, and the La Follette supporters voted against the motion, that they might not be affiliated with the Democrats.

The Liberal Club intends to hold a straw vote next Thursday, when the real strength of Coolidge will be shown.
