It is now nearly two weeks since H. T. Dunker '25, star University lineman, was sent to the Stillman infirmary with a mild case of diphtheria. He is now sitting up in bed and will probably be dismissed by the doctors about a week from next Monday.
This will bring him out of the hospital a few days before the game with Holy Cross and over ten days before the Dartmouth contest. He will certainly not be available for the first of these games, and almost as certainly not for the second.
There is every reason to expect, however, that the veteran guard will be able to face the Tiger and the Bulldog for the third successive year.
How seriously his loss will be felt in the early games is impossible to say. Coach Fisher has at his disposal C. H. Bradford, Theopold, Daniell, Daley, Hoague, and Locke several able guards. Dunker's experience and steadiness, however, assure him of a warm welcome when he reforms the squad.
