8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
The second football team began its season auspiciously yesterday afternoon when it vanquished the Providence College Seconds 13-0 at Soldiers Field.
The first half was scoreless, although Coach Knox's men maintained distinct superiority throughout.
The expectations of a score were fulfilled shortly after the second after the second half started. Gillies caught a punt on the Rhode Islanders' 40-yard line and leaving a long string of straggling players behind, zigzagged through the entire team for a touchdown. Subsequently he scored the point after touchdown on a dropkick.
In the final period Harvard, advancing from the Providence 40-yard line, launched a steady march to the goal. Pratt scored the touchdown on a 25 yard run after catching a pass.
