Freshman Fencing Team to be Formed For Second Time in History

For the second time in the history of the University, a Freshman fencing team will go through an official schedule.

The season will open on November 1. when a meeting open to all Freshmen will be held in the Salle d'Armes at the Hemenway Gymnasium. Coach J. L. Danguy will give a short talk, following which he will give an exhibition match with R. A. Durham '25 captain of the University Fencing team.

Left handed Freshmen have a particularly good chance of making the team. There is new only one left-handed man on the University group, and the squad suffers from lack of practice with southpaw fencers.

The Freshman schedule will probably be the same as last year's with a few new matches added. Last year the Freshmen won every match, defeating Andover, M. I. T. and Yale.

Freshmen will be eligible to compete in all three departments of fencing foils epee, and sabre.
