1928 DORMITORY MEN MEET ST. JOHN'S TODAY

When the Freshman dormitory football squad plays St. John's Academy at Peabody this afternoon it will be setting a new precedent. Never before has a dormitory eleven played an outside team.

If today's experiment is considered successful, it may mean the inauguration of a new athletic policy for Freshmen. At Yale there are several Freshman teams, each of which has its own schedule with surrounding high schools and academies. There is more than a possibility that a similar policy will be tried here.

Dormitory Team Strong

The dormitory men have been practising intensively all week in preparation for the game, and Coach E. D. Hamilton '23 feels that he has a strong team. His squad has scrimmaged several times with the first Freshman team, and once informally with the Cambridge Latin eleven.

H. C. Fox Jr., a center, has been raised to the Freshman squad, and while this will weaken the dormitory team considerably, several substitutes are available.

The dormitory line, although not very heavy, is powerful and Coach Hamilton is also well satisfied with his backfield.

Captain Will Be Elected

Before the game the team will elect its captain. He will continue as leader for the season unless he is raised to the first Freshman squad, in which case another Captain will be chosen.
