WORK IS IN FULL SWING WITH BOARD TRACK DOWN

Squad Gets Down to Real Work Today as Assistant Coaches Take Up Duties--Number of Men Increased to 200

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

After considerable delay the new board track is finally in place and ready for the work which begins in earnest today. The track squad has been increased to about 200 men, including Freshmen. The assistant coaches are ready to begin their activities.

Coaches Teschner and O'Connell will take charge of their men today. The former will confine his mentorship to the sprinters, a promising squad which includes L. R. Brooks '26, J. H. Brooms '26, W. R. Chase '26 and Captain J. E. Merrill '24, who are expected to run both the 40 and 300 yard dashes in the meets this winter.

Will Work For M. I. T. Meet

Most of the work from now on will be in finding relay teams for the meet with M. I. T. on January 19. At the same time the field event men are working indoors, though the first meet in which any considerable number of these performers will be entered is the triangular meet with Cornell and Dartmouth on February 16.

Contrary to newspaper reports, C. A. C. Eastman '24 will not compete in the Knights of Columbus meet on January 26, and probably will not be entered in any event until February 16.
