DISRUPTED B. U. SIX FACES TEAM TONIGHT

Coach O'Hare of B. U. Forced to Make Many Shifts in His Line-Up--Walker of Harvard Excused to Study

The University hockey players will take a respite from their examinations in order to combat the Boston University sextet at the Arena this evening at 8.15 o'clock. The game was definitely arranged yesterday after fruitless efforts on the part of the Harvard management to induce the speedy Pittsburg club to prolong its stay another day and play the Crimson this evening.

While B. U. will not be able to offer the opposition that the Pittsburg Yellow-Jackets would have furnished, Coach O'Hare expects his charges to better their early season showing. The Terriers were completely outclassed by the Crimson skaters when they met on December 18, nineteen Harvard players taking part in the 8 to 1 rout. They showed some improvement, however, in holding Princeton to a 4 to 0 score and some more when the Maple A. A. six gained only a 4 to 1 margin over them. Since this game, which was played two weeks ago, the B. U. skaters have been idle.

B. U. Captain Resigns

Captain Almer, whose work was the brightest spot in his team's drab performance against the Crimson, resigned his position yesterday, Coach O'Hare told a CRIMSON reporter last night. The B. U. Mentor could offer no explanation of Almer's act, but announced definitely that the ex-captain would not play again this season. Almer's defection will force the Terriers to present a patched-up forward line. Wenneberg, a substitute wing going to center, Provost, a defense man, has been named acting captain.

The Crimson will probably take the ice with Hill in place of Walker. The latter has been excused for the night by Coach Winsor on account of the pressure of examinations. Cummings will start the game as defender of the Harvard net. The ultimate holder of the goal-guard position is still very much a question. Both Cummings and Newell will be thoroughly tested before the Yale sextet invades the Arena on February 9.
