A and B Tournaments Start

Four of the team A men have signed up for the state championship tournament which starts today. P. W. Dixon '25, the University captain, is a favorite for the title and is expected to push C. C. Peabody, the present champion, to the utmost. The Harvard man has not lost a match this year in the tournament just completed, having defeated Howe of the Union Boat Club, 3-1, Bray of Newton Centre, 3-2, Powers of B. A. A., 3-0, Peabody of the Tennis and Racquet Club, 3-1, Wakefield of the Lincoln's Inn Society, 3-1, and Callanan of the Harvard Club, 3-0. His upset by Debevoise in the college tournament was not unusual, being a break in the ordinary course of play.

Entries for the state championship for Class B men are now open to University students at the Harvard courts. Any man who has not played in a Class A match is eligible. W. B. Mcllwain 2L of the Lincoln's inn Society holds the title at present. The tournament will start February 11, the matches being played on the Union Boat Club's courts.
