8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
The Graduate School of Education wants an official song, and $50 will be the reward of the one who can supply it.
An alumnus, Mr. Harvey S. Gruver G. '10, of Lynn, announced the offer yesterday for "a song which can appropriately be sung at gatherings of students or alumni." It is likely that his action was inspired by a remark about the lack of such a song, made in a speech by Dean Holmes at a recent dinner.
Contestants have the option of submitting either verses fitted to a familiar tune or both original words and music. Since the announcement did not limit the contest to members of the School of Education alone, presumably any one may enter it.
