TILTON QUINTET BOWS TO FRESHMEN IN DULL GAME

E. L. LIGHTBOURN CHOSEN TO LEAD FRESHMAN FIVE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Cautious playing and mediocre close-range shooting characterized the basketball game on Saturday in which the Freshman quintet defeated Tilton Seminary 15 to 9. Most of the baskets for both teams were made on long range shots.

Both sides used a five man defence, which served to keep the score low. On the 1927 team no individual star was visible, but the team work appeared to be improving, though the gauging of shots at close range was poor. Leekley and Malick were high scorers for the Freshmen. For Tilton Captain Simpson and Dillon played well.
