The University Dramatic Club has joined the Advocate in selecting 69 Mt. Auburn Street as its home for the coming year, and already has moved its offices from the Union to the new headquarters. The entire second floor has been occupied by the Club, the location giving much more space than that used at the Union. Some of the additional room will be used for a Club library, which will be started at once.
Some definite plans have now been made for the fall and winter work of the Club. During the week of the Yale game two or three performances of some play not yet selected will be presented in Brattle Hall. The custom of presenting a play at Wellesley during the same week will be continued, as arrangements now stand.
The Christmas program will again be featured by the presentation of the miracle plays, which were so successful last year. The performances will be free and open to the public--not private as they were last year. Several short plays, different form those presented last season, will be given in the Germanic Museum during the winter months.
The competitions for all departments of the Club will begin on Monday, October 8, and will be open to all Freshmen and Sophomores, the acting competition being open also to other members of the University. Since the Club lost many of its best actors last year, several of whom went on the professional stage, there is an excellent opportunity for new men in this branch of the work.
