FOOTBALL CANDIDATES TURN CHILDREN AND SKIP ROPE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Soldiers Field became a children's playground yesterday morning when the University football candidates reverted to their childhood and skipped rope again. Such is the training prescribed by Donovan and Fisher to get the men in shape for the vigorous practices next week.

The rope jumping is an innovation this year added to the regular morning calisthenics which are now a part of the training. The ropes are passed out at the end of the setting up exercises and even the 230-pound guards are compelled to learn to hop and skip rope again as a muscle loosener.
